Dr. Alexander Chiu earned his medical degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1993, and obtained his specialist status as critical care physician in 2000. Dr. Chiu's journey in health administration began at the Hospital Authority Head Office, where he served as Chief Manager for the Department of Quality and Standards, looking after issues like hospital accreditation and specialist out-patient waiting time. He later took on the role of Chief Manager for the Department of Integrated Care Programs, which include the development of stroke, diabetes and renal services. Dr. Chiu then decided to continue administrative career in the private sector and joined Quality Healthcare Medical Services Limited as their Executive Medical Director, where he focused on enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency. He then took up the role of Chief Operating Officer at Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital, leading clinical operations and driving business development initiatives.
Dr. Chiu is currently the Chief Medical Officer at AXA Hong Kong and Macau. Dr. Chiu spearheads the Payer to Partner strategy, overseeing clinical governance of health services. His role is to implement best practices for cost-effective healthcare and designing and delivering innovative population health management programmes.
Dr. Chiu is a fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians, the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

Dr Ben Fong, a Specialist in Community Medicine, is the Professor of Practice (Health Studies) and Associate Division Head of the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies (SEHS), the Discipline Team Leader of the Academic Discipline of Health and Life Sciences, the Programme Leader of the MSc in Health Services Management, and the Director of the Centre for Ageing and Healthcare Management Research at the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Dr. Gloria Siu

Dr. Gloria Siu is the Chief Executive of GUM, a boutique consulting firm which provides solutions to corporate on MPF and employee benefits.
Gloria has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry; expertise on all industry aspects including corporate pension, employee benefits, general insurance and financial planning, from operations to business development; individuals to corporations. With the aim to increase public awareness on MPF and retirement, Gloria led the GUM Research Team to conduct MPF focused studies and publish findings every year. Holding her belief in active management and continuous education, more than 300 seminars on various MPF development topics were conducted and the unique corporate solution – Pension Advisory Model was developed. Gloria is also in great interest to the healthcare development in Hong Kong, research focuses on employment based health insurance value and efficiency.
A member of the standing Advisory Committee of Investor Education Centre (IEC) and Investigation Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) appointed by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau since Year 2017, Gloria holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK and a business administration doctorate degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Lawrence Hung
Mr Hung is a seasoned HR strategist with more than 25 years of industry expertise. He has been a member of the executive management teams of several global organisations, where he oversaw the development and implementation of effective and creative human resource policies and programs. His career has included major leadership positions in Chinachem Group, Richemont Asia Pacific, PepsiCo, Caltex, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Mr Hung has held region-wide responsibilities throughout his career in Asia Pacific, leading strategic HR transformation, talent development, and reward projects in numerous markets.
His regional leadership has allowed him to traverse a variety of cultural and business situations, aligning global HR objectives with local requirements.
In addition to his corporate activities, Mr Hung is an executive coach and a reward management thought leader. He received the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) accreditation from HRCI in 2019 and the Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) title from the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches in 2015. He has also been a Faculty Member of WorldatWork since 2005. Mr Hung is highly committed to giving back to the community and improving the HR profession.
He actively supports professional and public-service activities. He shares his knowledge and campaigns for important human resource issues through advisory roles and media appearances.
Mr Hung has an MBA from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Science in Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic.
Professor Peter Yuen
Professor and Dean
Professor Peter P. Yuen is Dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He is also Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing of PolyU. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Master in Business Administration degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Economics from the University of Birmingham. He is a founding Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Health Services Executives, and an Honorary Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Management. Professor Yuen's research involves public policy formulation and evaluation, and health services management. He is also the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Public Administration and Policy, an Editorial Committee member of Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management.
